Beakle 2.0 — What's New in Our Biggest Release Yet

We didn't set out to build a "2.0." We set out to fix five things our customers told us were slowing them down. Now that all five have shipped, it's fair to call this a release.

If you run a small business in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt — or anywhere your customers expect a reply in two minutes flat — these are the updates that change your day.

Google Calendar bookings, end to end

Beakle now reads your Google Calendar before quoting a time.

A customer asks "can I see the apartment tomorrow at 3pm?" — Beakle checks the slot, sees you're free, confirms the booking, and writes the event back to your calendar. If you're busy, it suggests the next three open windows. No more double-booked viewings. No more "let me check and get back to you" that turns into silence.

You connect it once in Settings → Integrations. Beakle handles the rest.

For barbers, clinics, salons, tutors, photographers, property agents — anyone who lives by a calendar — this is the integration we wish we'd shipped six months ago.

Hawkton CRM, plugged in

If you already use Hawkton to manage leads, Beakle now syncs both ways. New WhatsApp contacts land in Hawkton as leads. Tags you add in Hawkton show up next to the contact inside Beakle.

Your sales team can keep working in Hawkton. Beakle keeps answering on WhatsApp. The contact record stays one record, not two.

Web Chat Widget for your website

The same Beakle that runs on your WhatsApp can now sit on your website.

Drop one line of code on your site. A small chat bubble appears bottom-right. Visitors type a question — Beakle answers using the same knowledge base, the same tone, the same business rules. Lead drops into your dashboard. Same place as your WhatsApp leads.

Customisable colours, your logo, allowed-domains lockdown. Live visitor map shows you who's browsing right now and where they're from.

Two channels. One brain. One inbox.

Extra Usage credit system

Hit your daily AI cap on a busy day? You used to be stuck waiting until midnight.

Not anymore. Top up Extra Usage credit in Billing → Top Up, and Beakle keeps replying past your plan's daily limit. Pay-as-you-go on top of your subscription. You only spend what you use.

This is the answer for businesses that have spiky days — a market day, a campaign, a viral post. Don't upgrade for one busy week. Add credit, keep moving.

In-dashboard Guide

The Guide is now inside your dashboard, not on a separate help site.

Thirty-four pages. Every feature explained with the actual button names and screenshots from your dashboard. Search across it. Right-rail "On this page" navigation so you can skim. The whole thing is written for the small-business owner who has fifteen minutes between customers, not for engineers.

Open it from the sidebar. Keep it open in a tab. It's the manual we owed you.

A few smaller things you'll notice

  • Faster dashboard loading on mobile (about half the wait it used to be)
  • New quality-setup checklist on your home screen — five one-tap tweaks that make Beakle reply better
  • Cleaner reply detection so Beakle stops trying when you've taken over a chat
  • Weekly nudge if your setup isn't tuned, sent to your owner WhatsApp

What didn't change

Beakle still costs the same on the Founder and Growth plans. Your existing knowledge base, contacts, and products carry over. Nothing to migrate. Nothing to relearn.

The voice your customers know — that's the same too. Beakle still replies in the tone you set. Still escalates the hard ones to you. Still learns from your corrections.

What's next

We're working on smarter media handling (so Beakle can describe what's in a photo a customer sends), a Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa pidgin-mix tuning pass, and faster cold-start replies on Founder plans.

But that's for the next release. For now, go connect your calendar.

If you're new and reading this, start with the Catalog setup page in the Guide — a tight catalog is the single biggest lever for reply quality.

Welcome to Beakle 2.0.
