Introducing the Web Chat Widget — Beakle on Your Website Too

You spent money driving traffic to your site. Then visitors land, scroll, and leave without a word. No DM. No call. No WhatsApp click. Just gone.

Today we're closing that gap. Beakle now runs as a chat bubble on your website — using the same brain that handles your WhatsApp customers. Same knowledge base. Same products. Same tone. Same escalation rules.

One toggle. One line of code. Done.

What the Web Chat Widget Actually Is

It is a small chat bubble that sits in the bottom-right of your website. A visitor clicks it. Beakle greets them. They ask "how much for the 50-inch TV?" or "do you deliver to Ikeja?" — and Beakle answers from the same knowledge base your WhatsApp customers get.

If Beakle does not know, it escalates the same way: pings you on WhatsApp, captures the visitor's name and phone, and waits. You reply on your phone. The visitor sees your reply land in the widget. No missed lead.

It is not a separate product. It is Beakle, just on a different surface.

Why Your Website Needs This

Most Nigerian small businesses lose website traffic for one reason: there is no easy way to ask a question. The "Contact Us" form goes to an email nobody checks. The "WhatsApp Us" button forces visitors to leave the site, switch apps, and start a conversation cold.

Beakle on your site changes the math:

  • 24/7 first-touch. A visitor lands at 11pm. Beakle answers. You sleep.
  • Lower friction. No app switching. They chat in the same tab they were already browsing.
  • Pre-qualified leads. By the time Beakle escalates, you know the visitor's name, phone, and exactly what they want.
  • Free. It is included in every Beakle plan. No extra fee per website.

Set It Up in Two Minutes

Go to your service inside the dashboard. Open Web Chat in the side panel. Flip the toggle on. Copy the embed snippet:

<script src="https://wa.beakle.xyz/widget/SERVICE_ID/embed.js" async></script>

Paste it once into your site — before the closing </body> tag if you have access, or via your site builder's "custom code" field (Wix, Webflow, Shopify, WordPress all support this). Save. Refresh. The bubble shows up.

That is the whole setup. For the full walkthrough — including branding colour, allowed-domain locking, and quick-start chip configuration — see the Web Chat Widget guide.

What It Shares With Your WhatsApp Side

This is the part that matters. The widget is not a new bot you have to retrain. It uses:

  • The same Knowledge Base. Every FAQ, every price, every policy you taught Beakle for WhatsApp — already loaded.
  • The same Products catalogue. Visitors can ask "what blenders do you have?" and Beakle pulls from the same list.
  • The same AI Settings. Tone, greeting style, negotiation rules, escalation triggers — identical.
  • The same conversation log. Web chats show up in your Conversations tab next to WhatsApp threads. Same view. Same /slash commands work.

Update a price in Knowledge Base on Tuesday — the WhatsApp customer at 3pm and the website visitor at 4pm both get the new price. One brain, two mouths.

See Who Is On Your Site Right Now

We also shipped a live Visitors view. Open the Visitors tab inside your service and you see every active session on your site — country, city, the page they are on, how long they have been browsing.

There is a map. Visitors appear as pins. You can watch someone read your pricing page in Port Harcourt while another browses product photos from Accra. It is the closest thing to standing at your shop door watching foot traffic.

This is not a vanity feature. It tells you which pages convert, which ones lose people, and what time of day your traffic spikes — useful before you spend ₦50,000 on Meta ads.

Quick-Start Chips: First Touch Without Typing

When a visitor opens the bubble, they see quick-start chips — pre-written buttons like "What do you sell?", "Pricing", "Delivery to my area?". One tap and Beakle responds. No typing fatigue, no awkward first message.

You configure the chips inside Web Chat settings. Three to five chips covering your most-asked questions is the sweet spot. Watch which ones get clicked — that data tells you what your visitors actually care about.

Open your dashboard. Web Chat tab. Toggle on. Paste the snippet. Watch your first website chat come in by the end of the week.

If you already trained Beakle on WhatsApp, you have already done the hard part. The website side just inherits the work.
